Plug-in Electronic is expanding its portfolio with the fanless embedded box PCs of the BP-ECS-8000 series. The system runs on an Intel Core i7 mobile processor with an extended QM87 chipset. This is said to make it 15% more productive than previous generations. The computer has the Iris Pro 6200 graphics engine from Intel and DirectX 11.2. Up to three independent 4K Ultra HD displays can be operated.Four IEEE 802.3at (25.5 W / 48 V) PoE+, four COM RS232/422/485, four external USB 3.0, three USB 2.0, 16 isolated DIO and three mini PCIe sockets are available as interfaces. In addition, two front-access 2.5-inch SSD/HDD trays are offered, two front accesses for SIM card slots (3G/4G/LTE/WiFi/GPRS/UMTS), one front access CFast socket, three SATA-III, 16 GPIO and optional SUMIT slots. The fanless computer system has a 6 to 36 V wide-range mains input with 80 V overvoltage protection as well as a remote mains switch and can be used at an operating temperature of -25 to + 70° C.
