IAI Industrieroboter is introducing further models of its stepper motor-driven Scara robot models from the IXP series. In addition to the two previous models with reach ranges of 350 mm and 450 mm, variants with reach ranges of 180 mm, 250 mm, 550 mm and 650 mm have been added. In addition, all models in the series are available in a dust and splash-proof version as well as a cleanroom version. With low dead weights of the robot arms of between 7 kg and 23 kg, the robot models can move payloads of between 1 kg and 6 kg. All robot models are also equipped with battery-free absolute encoders. As an option, the robots can be equipped ex works with permanently mounted electric IAI grippers, which are controlled as external axes via the robot controller. A maximum of 255 programs and 30,000 positions can be stored in the newly developed robot controller. It can be controlled via discrete inputs and outputs as well as via a fieldbus system. With dimensions of 195 mm × 130 mm (H × W), an installation depth of 125 mm and a net weight of 1.4 kg, the controller can be installed on a top-hat rail in the control cabinet.
