Wibu-Systems offers the CmStick/B protection hardware for storing keys and licenses. The CmStick/B in a compact metal housing, which can also be branded by the manufacturer, is functionally identical to the CmStick/BMC hardware, but without flash memory. The housing measures 12.1 mm × 22 mm × 4.5 mm. Both CmStick/B and CmStick/BMC offer SIP technology (System in Package), which, according to the provider, ensures a high degree of robustness and miniaturization at the same time. Both variants contain an SLM97 smartcard chip from Infineon. The CmStick/BMC has a USB 3.1 interface for fast data transfer and a U9 flash controller from Hyperstone with patented 'hymap' firmware, which protects against data loss.
