
Intel is pledging a further 50 million US dollars as part of a global technology initiative to combat the coronavirus. The aim is to improve and accelerate patient care and scientific research through the use of technology. Furthermore, students and teachers are to be given access to online learning programs. Intel has also established an innovation fund for local and regional aid projects that benefit from direct access to Intel know-how and resources.
"The world faces an enormous challenge in the fight against COVID-19. Intel is committed to the development and rapid access to new technologies to contain the current pandemic. We promote scientific discoveries that better prepare our society for future crises," says Hannes Schwaderer, Country Manager of Intel Deutschland GmbH. "Our goal is to use our expertise, our resources and our technology to help protect people and save lives. We are working together with many partners from industry to achieve this."
