... RFID technology, the second generation of driverless transport systems (AGVs) have been in operation at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Ludwigsfelde for around a year now. They are controlled both by networking with the plant's IT system and via RFID. The transponders are located on the floor of the factory halls and contain driving commands.
