The Sprinter CR-S3500 slow-motion camera from the CamRecord series from Optronis offers high-performance data management with a special memory concept via an SSD backup function. With conventional memory concepts of slow motion cameras, the RAM memory is usually 16 GByte, which is correspondingly fast. Backing up the image data via a GigE interface to a connected PC (offline data transfer) takes time and the execution of measurement series is correspondingly time-consuming. In contrast, the integrated SSD backup of the 'Sprinter' camera enables a faster data transfer time - the camera-internal data transfer takes place via a SATA interface at 300 MByte per second. According to the manufacturer, this corresponds to six times the data speed compared to conventional storage concepts via the GigE interface to the PC. The camera is particularly suitable for visualizing very fast object movements up to simple ballistics. It achieves a frame rate of 3500 images per second at full format and 12,000 images and a resolution of 1280 x 240 pixels. The camera also has a Gigabit and Wi-Fi interface.
