Leuze presents the CML700i Profinet light curtain in an IP65 housing. In addition to the existing CANopen, IO-Link, RS485 and Profibus interfaces, a variant with an integrated Profinet interface is now available in this series. Like the control unit, the interface is integrated into the receiver unit, making additional devices and software superfluous. The parameters are set via the large display using 'Leuze Sensor Studio' or via the GSDML file in the control unit, which saves all settings and enables the device to be replaced without having to re-parameterize. The light curtain has an integrated switch for setting up a ring or line topology. Cascade mounting with a 23 mm dead zone between the beams, fast response times and the detection of even transparent objects enable this device variant to provide seamless object tracking, for example on conveyor lines. The data can be transmitted at a speed of 100 Mbit/s. Depending on the length (up to 2880 mm), the measuring light curtain provides the data cyclically within 1 ms to 53 ms. The maximum measurement data length is 222 bytes, which means that the individual values of the single beams can be output at any position.
