The miniature LVDT sensors in Inelta's 'Ilat' series are used for position and displacement measurement in the single-digit millimeter range. The sensors in the series are available in the Ilat2, Ilat4 and Ilat10 versions for the precise measurement of ±1 mm, ±2 mm and ±5 mm travel distances respectively. Thanks to their small dimensions with a housing length of 79 mm and a diameter of 8 mm and a weight (with cable) of 30 g, the sensors can also be installed in confined spaces. Thanks to the inductive LVDT principle (Linear Variable Differential Transformer), in which a coil system with a primary winding and two secondary windings inside the sensors transforms the linear movements of the probe into an electrical signal without contact, the sensors operate wear-free and achieve a linearity tolerance of <0.25 %. They are optionally available with a linearity tolerance of <0.1 %. The sensors are constructed in a stainless steel housing with protection class IP65 - optionally IP67. The nominal temperature range is 0 to +70 C°.
