Optima from Manner Sensortelemetrie enables test engineers to precisely record measurement signals on rotating shafts - without extensive knowledge of sensor telemetry and without extensive preparation time or training. With the sensor telemetry kit, the transmission distance between shaft and stator is 50 mm despite inductive supply. The tolerance window is specified as 0 to 50 mm radially and ±20 mm axially. The required components are a stator pick-up unit with integrated electronics, a rotor measuring amplifier and an antenna loop for energetic coupling of the components. The sensor - whether a bridge of strain gauges, PT100 or thermocouple - is simply connected to the measuring amplifier. The system works without batteries and is maintenance-free. The supplied rotor antenna kit is wrapped around the shafts and is only 2 mm thick. The rotor measuring amplifier and the rotor induction loop are fixed to the shaft using a glass fiber tape. The measuring amplifier is set remotely using a laptop. The configuration software calculates the setting data for the rotor measuring amplifier from the shaft parameters (material, geometry) and programs it. The measurement signal can be tapped either analog or via the USB interface.
