SSV - Bluetooth sensors in the 5G campus network
Until now, the relatively short radio range of Blue-tooth has been a hindrance for sensor applications with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) in industrial environments. SSV meets this challenge with the help of local 5G mobile networks: Secure Sensor Beacon (SSB) enables applications with several thousand BLE data points and a large spatial range. SSB creates high-resolution data images of machines, systems and buildings, from which high-quality information can be obtained using artificial intelligence. End-to-end security is used to ensure the authenticity and integrity of each individual data point, and SSV will be presenting the interaction between the Bluetooth low-energy-based SSB protocol and 5G technology to the public in Hanover. The sensor data from an evaluation module for smart factory sensors is sent via Bluetooth to a 5G industrial gateway as an SSB agent and transmitted from there to the SSB collector via a campus network. There, the data is available to other systems.
