Bladecontrol from Weidmüller Interface
© Weidmüller Interface

Bladecontrol from Weidmüller is a system for monitoring the rotor blades of wind turbines, whose sensor technology detects damage or icing at the initial stage. This allows measures to be initiated at an early stage to prevent a system shutdown. In the event of serious damage, the system sends a signal to the turbine control system, which can then stop the turbine immediately and prevent the blades from breaking. The system consists of sensors on the rotor blades, a hub computer (HMU), optional data transmission via WLAN (APNAC), an evaluation and communication computer (ECU), a database computer (DBS) and a web-based graphical user interface (WebVIS).
