03 - Christ Electronic Systems: Modular touch panels with control function
In future, the modular touch panels from Christ Electronic Systems can also be used as controllers. The integration of Codesys control functionality into a touch panel expands the application possibilities for many companies. An NXP i.MX 8M Plus QuadCore and an embedded Linux distribution with real-time patch are used. The solution thus ensures real-time capable and smooth operation. The PLC panel series can be combined with the entire Christ touch panel portfolio and can be adapted to individual requirements by means of interface extensions and memory upgrades. The all-in-one PLC panels are configured and commissioned using WebConfig, which was developed in-house. Device settings such as the time or IP address can be changed on a clearly laid out interface. In addition, import and export functions are available so that the devices can be easily duplicated and put into operation.
