National Instruments presents a new model of its universal measuring device Virtualbench. The software-based 5-in-1 measuring device combines a mixed-signal oscilloscope, a function generator, a digital multimeter, a controllable DC power supply and digital inputs/outputs in one form factor. With a bandwidth of 350 MHz, four analog channels and Ethernet connectivity, the Virtalbench offers users more functionality for characterizing and debugging new designs and automated test systems, according to the manufacturer. Users can continue to interact with the measuring device via the free updatable software for PCs or iPads. The latest model also offers a higher power adjustable DC power supply with up to 3 A for the 6 V output channel. In addition to USB and WLAN compatibility, the measuring device offers an Ethernet connection and enables integration into the Labview system design software.
