The CAE software Simcenter 3D from Siemens can be combined with 'NX CAD' and 'Convergent Modeling' technology. Results from the topology optimization processes can be used directly in the design process without having to create new geometries. In addition, engineers can work directly with scanned data or optimized shapes. The CAE software in conjunction with the 'Heeds' software should also allow the design process to be automated. Hybrid modeling is now also possible. This allows users to integrate test data into their simulation models in order to achieve greater accuracy within the simulation. The new version also supports the modeling of sub-mechanisms in motion assemblies, faster calculation times for analyses in motion models and increased performance for indoor and outdoor acoustic simulations. Non-linear simulation also includes new enhancements in 'NX Nastran' and functions of the 'LMS Samcef Solver'. In addition to the existing functions for simulating non-linear thermomechanical behavior in turbomachinery, Simcenter 3D offers more support for non-linear simulation of general application situations: Additional elements, greater robustness and algorithms for multi-level, non-linear simulation provide more realistic representations and faster solution times.
