Aucotec presents its new project status manager for machine and plant planning. The module of the database-driven CAE platform Engineering Base (EB) can automate both system-internal workflows and data exchange with external systems. The status manager is designed to ensure that the central documentation is always up to date and that versions are not mixed up. According to the manufacturer, interface handling and release mechanisms are simplified and data quality is significantly improved. EB already combines various disciplines with a central data model, for example basic and detail engineering, even simultaneously. However, Aucotec's integration package also includes links to various ERP, 3D and automation systems, as well as to predictive maintenance, simulation and production. The company uses several integration approaches: A whole range of ready-made interfaces can be used via 'plug and play'. For example, to 3D, PDM or ERP systems. Some connections, such as for offline processing of EB data by suppliers with a third-party system, can be configured by the customer without any programming knowledge. There is also the option of installing customer-specific integrations, such as web services for mobile maintenance, for example via .Net.
