Steute offers a wireless enabling footswitch in several variants. The basic model of these switching devices is a 3-stage safety foot switch as an alternative to two-hand control panels. The RF GFS VD enables the operation of press brakes and other forming systems in special operating modes such as 'set-up mode'. The foot switches meet the requirements of the standard, i.e. the control device must have an automatic reset with the following switch positions: Off - On - Off. The operator can therefore initiate a press stroke by actuating the foot switch. If he wants or needs to stop the dangerous movement quickly, he simply presses the foot pedal further through to the 'Off' position and the machine is stopped. In the new versions, the signal is transmitted wirelessly via the company's own 'sWave-safe' safety-related radio system. This gives the operator greater freedom of movement without 'tripping hazards' and allows the single or dual-pedal foot switch to always be in the optimum ergonomic position.
