Based on the TMRW series, Hiwin offers a high-speed, water-cooled torque motor for demanding applications. There is no sign of this on the outside of the stator of the TMRI direct drives; however, the grooved internal rotor has an assembly with a laminated magnet carrier in the center instead of the previous homogeneous steel part. Thanks to the resulting reduction in eddy current losses, the previous upper speed limit has been broken. The torque motors are available with external diameters of 230 mm to 565 mm and peak torques of up to 5400 Nm in various standard windings for high torque and different speeds. The motors are also optionally available with a ready-to-connect steel cooling jacket.
