Christoph Grandauer, Ann-Kathrin Leiting, Konstantin Hoffmann and Karl Lappe from the University of Freiburg won over the jury with their 'Cablebot' project, a cable pulling robot. The students developed the prototype of a robot that is designed to pull live wires or telephone cables into empty conduits during the electrification of buildings. The pulling-in process is currently carried out either by a hydrostatic pressure difference or mechanically by means of a pull cord.
