Jung presents the Fourdynamic series of its linear motor modules. Designed for strokes of up to 350 mm, the most powerful version achieves a speed of 5 m/s with an acceleration of 150 m/s2, generating peak forces of up to 2700 N. Typical assembly and machining processes for the modules include punching, bending, embossing, joining, pressing or compacting; but they are also used for dosing, stacking, sorting, feeding, testing or vibrating. The modules can perform these tasks alternately or sequentially across several processing stations - with a repeat accuracy of ±0.05 mm. A servomotor direct drive with a tubular design for connection to 400 V three-phase current is used for the drive. The drive can be freely positioned over the entire stroke range. The user has a choice of different positioning controllers with inverters, path control and interfaces to higher-level controllers and established fieldbus systems (Ethernet, Profibus, etc.). This enables point-to-point actions for simple handling processes on the one hand and movement curves for complex sequences on the other - even synchronized with other machine sequences.
