'Jupiter' is the name of a new hardware and software platform from Jumo. The pioneer for the platform is the 'Varitron' automation system, with further products to follow. During the development of the platform, particular attention was paid to the scalability of the hardware and software. The result is a modular and flexible hardware platform combined with a modern software architecture. The basis is a hardware platform with an 800 MHz processor, which is used as a single, dual or quad-core variant depending on the application. The CPU module is pluggable and can be adapted to the requirements of a device via interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, PCIe, UART, SPI, I²C and GPIOs. The software has a modular structure based on a Linus platform and enables scalability of performance, memory and interfaces. Thanks to high standards of internet security and cryptography, users are also on the safe side when it comes to cloud computing. In terms of connectivity, the platform offers WLAN and Bluetooth as standard.
