Tobias Gerbracht (18) from Wuppertal has succumbed to the fascination of augmented reality: he wants to use this three-dimensional, virtual representation of objects for particularly impressive marketing presentations at trade fair stands. To do this, viewers have to wear special glasses. Instead, the young researcher has developed a compact AR projector and applied for a patent. Using a projector, he projects the previously calculated hologram of an object onto a glass pane the size of a PC screen. This display makes the 3D impression possible from many different angles. In order to make the housing as compact as possible, Gerbracht has used special software and computing methods.
