Siemens is expanding its all-round IP65-protected devices for operating and monitoring with the Simatic HMI Comfort Panels Pro (Protected) with 12, 15, 19 and 22 inch screen diagonals. They offer the same functions as the built-in devices and are designed for cabinet-free visualization and automation. Their features include infinitely dimmable widescreen displays with 16 million colors and a viewing angle of up to 170°. Thanks to the anti-reflective glass front with scratch-resistant and chemically resistant surface, operation with work gloves is possible. A system card for automatic backups is integrated. The devices are also suitable for energy management directly on the machine, for example with 'Profienergy'. Coordinated interaction with the 'Simatic S7-1500' advanced controllers and the use of conventional standard connectors for the cabling enable cost-effective operating and monitoring solutions to be implemented. The mechanical concept offers adapters for flexible, cabinet-free installation on pedestal or support arm systems.
