Fanuc has added three small, collaborative robots to its product portfolio of industrial robots: CR-4iA, CR-7iA and CR-7iA/L. The CR-4iA is the smallest of the company's green robots with a payload of 4 kg, while the CR-7iA and CR-7iA/L (long arm) can lift 7 kg. Special sensor technology enables the robots to stop safely before they collide with an unexpected obstacle. The robots are TÜV-certified in accordance with ISO 10218-1 so that they can work hand in hand with a human. There is also the option of applying intelligent functions using the industry-standard Plug&Play vision and force sensor technology. The supplier's image processing system is suitable, for example, for detecting the position of workpieces, for parts and production control or for reading barcodes. In addition, the robot's workstation can be flexibly configured thanks to its compact design: It can be mounted on the ceiling or wall and therefore covers a large range of movement without restricting the operator's workspace. It is also possible to mount the robot on a mobile platform.
