The E series from TL Electronic is a panel PC series with a flexible choice of operating system. The HMI panel PCs are available in two different processor versions: On the one hand, the devices work with the dual-core Cortex A9 i.MX6 processor from Freescale with a clock speed of 1 GHz. Android, Linux Kernel or Ubuntu can be used as the operating system for this variant. On the other hand, the version with the quad-core Bay Trail N2930 processor from Intel offers various Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 IoT Enterprise. In contrast to the 32-bit instruction set of the Cortex-A9 processor, the Bay Trail processor executes the 64-bit instruction set and clocks at 1.83 GHz. The capacitive multi-touch screens are available in diagonals of 11 cm (4.3 inches), 18 cm (7 inches), 26 cm (10.1 inches) and 39.5 cm (15.6 inches). The displays offer brilliant widescreen presentation and a water and dust-proof front in accordance with protection class IP65. Thanks to the seamless design of the scratch-resistant glass surface and the rounded edges, the device series can be cleaned quickly. On the communication side, the Panel PCs offer USB 2.0 and 3.0 connections, RJ45 interfaces for Gigabit Ethernet, RS232/422/485 interfaces, a CAN bus connection and a micro SD slot. Depending on the variant, a 16 Gbyte Embedded Multi Media Card or a 64 Gbyte SSD is used as fixed memory.
