The Motoman HC10 collaborative robot from Yaskawa complies with the requirements of the European Machinery Directive (Directive 2006/42/EC), while its "YRC1000" controller with FSU and PFL board fulfills at least Performance Level (PL) "d" Category 3 in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13849-1. The type examination certificate ("EC Type-Examination Certificate") issued by TÜV Rheinland confirms conformity with these specific requirements. The "Motoman HC 10" with the "YRC1000" controller is a hybrid robot with a reach of 1.2 m and a handling weight of 10 kg, which can be used both as a normal industrial robot and as a collaborative robot. It ensures the required safety in direct contact with the operator by means of 6-fold force and torque monitoring, which enables flexible interaction between the robot and its environment. From the point of view of German and European safety standards, it can be used as a robot with power and force limitation in the 4th collaboration mode in accordance with the technical specification ISO TS15066.
