As part of its efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, ABB is now supporting the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The ICRC is an international humanitarian organization with Swiss roots and specializes in emergency aid. ABB will initially support the ICRC in the fight against COVID-19 with a donation of 1 million Swiss francs and will subsequently match all donations from its employees around the world. The money will be invested in health and sanitary infrastructure as well as in important products such as soap and respiratory masks.
"As a globally active company, we have a responsibility to society, especially in this crisis situation. With this campaign, we are supporting people who belong to the most vulnerable population groups," said ABB CEO Björn Rosengren. "We would also like to thank all those who are tirelessly fighting on the front lines against the spread of this pandemic."
