With Sinamics V20 in sizes FS AA and FS AB, Siemens is launching its smallest inverter to date, which is 68 mm wide and 142 mm high. The inverters offer outputs in a range of 0.12, 0.25 and 0.37 kW (size FS AA, with installation depth 108 mm) and 0.55 and 0.75 kW (size FS AB, installation depth 128 mm) for single-phase 230 V mains operation. The devices are optionally available with an integrated C1 EMC filter, which allows the inverters to be used in residential and commercial areas in accordance with DIN EN 61800-3. The "Keep Running" mode enables uninterrupted operation even with fluctuating mains voltage. According to the manufacturer, an improved cooling concept and coated circuit boards offer a high level of electrical and mechanical robustness for harsh environmental conditions. The frequency inverter can be connected to a higher-level control system via the integrated Modbus RTU/USS interface. Thanks to the two new sizes, the inverter is now available in seven different, power-optimized sizes in a power range from 0.12 to 30 kW for operation on single-phase and three-phase networks (230 V or 400 V).
