Honeywell introduces ScanPal EDA70, an industrial-grade tablet that provides real-time connectivity for business-critical applications and efficient data capture capabilities for mobile workers in the office and field. The lightweight, rugged device is based on the Android 7 platform (Nougat) and is particularly suitable for scan-intensive workflows, such as customer service on the sales floor or in the field, service and maintenance operations or the on-demand delivery process. It connects the mobile employee with important information to place orders for goods or spare parts, check stock levels, view order status or scan items when they are picked up for delivery. The large screen makes it possible to view more detailed data such as stock levels or circuit diagrams. The housing is certified to protection class IP64 and protects the device from drops and shocks. Features include a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8916 quad-core processor, a 1D/2D barcode scanner, a built-in camera and a 7-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass that is easy to read even in sunlight.
