SE Spezial-Electronic presents the new 5-inch touch display WF50BTIFGDHTX, which can be plugged directly onto a Raspberry Pi board. The display module from Taiwanese manufacturer Winstar is equipped with a resistive touchscreen, a control board with HDMI interface and a 40-pin connector. A small optional adapter that connects the HDMI socket on the Raspberry Pi board to the HDMI socket on the display eliminates the need for an additional HDMI cable. Thanks to the WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, which according to the supplier is sufficient for most software programs, the anti-glare TFT can be used in a wide variety of portable or embedded applications. The WF50BTIFGDHTX, which is specified for an operating temperature range of 0 to 70° C, is available with and without a resistive touchscreen. A version with a capacitive touchscreen is in preparation.
