Texas Instruments introduces new ultra-low-power microcontrollers (MCUs) from the MSP430 family. Designed to implement simple sensing solutions, the MSP430 value-line sensing MCUs provide developers with a variety of built-in mixed-signal features and a library of code examples to customize 25-ganged system functions, including timers, input/output expanders, system reset controllers and EEPROM. There is also a common core architecture, an ecosystem of tools and software, and extensive documentation, including migration guides to help designers choose the best MSP430 Value Line Sensing MCU for their design project. Designers also have the option to scale up from the 0.5 KB MSP430FR2000 microcontroller to the rest of the MSP430 family of sensing and measurement MCUs for applications requiring up to 256 KB of memory, higher performance or more analog peripheral functions.
