With Proline t-mass T 150, Endress+Hauser is expanding its product range in thermal flow measurement with a plug-in sensor for flow monitoring. The device is primarily intended for applications with water or water-like liquids. As the measuring method is independent of the electrical conductivity of the medium, it is also suitable for monitoring non-conductive liquids. The integrated temperature compensation enables high repeatability and linearity of the measurement results. The sensor operates maintenance-free even in pipes with very large diameters; the plug-in version is suitable for nominal diameters DN 40 to 1000. The specified application range is process temperatures from -40 to +100 °C up to process pressures of 40 bar. Guided operating menus simplify commissioning. Customer-specific settings can be entered via the display on the transmitter and transferred from device to device. Continuous self-diagnosis and error monitoring ensure high system availability, and data can be automatically restored in the event of servicing. In addition to the standard version, the sensor is also available with hygienic process connections such as Tri-Clamp or milk pipe screw connection DIN11851 or DIN11864-1 with EHEDG certificate; SIP cleaning up to 130 °C is also no problem. The measurement results are communicated to the process control system via 4 to 20 mA or HART.
