The new Proxia RSS Manager stands for "Really Simple Syndication in Production", i.e. the simple and active distribution of information and status messages in production. This is a technology in the Proxia MES system that allows certain information to be subscribed to as an RSS feed. By subscribing to this type of feed, the person responsible is automatically informed when certain status messages are updated, for example for orders on machines, in the warehouse or for employees. These "news feeds" can be subscribed to and displayed in all of the company's MES applications. As "RSS" is an international standard in information technology, many other applications are also available to process the short messages. For example, current browsers such as MS Edge, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome can be used in the same way as existing mail clients in the company to process these messages. By supporting MS Outlook, IBM Notes or Mozilla Thunderbird, disciplines within the company can also benefit from the information provided in the MES system without having to use additional software.
