Pfannenberg is launching an enclosure climate control solution with remote monitoring on a cloud basis. Communication takes place via a compact device with an integrated SIM card. This device receives relevant data from the connected cooling units via Modbus and transmits it to the cloud via a secure mobile connection without the need to intervene in the company's IT. The system, developed in cooperation with T-Systems, enables users or systems to call up the status, diagnostic and alarm status of the cooling units live and from any location via a web browser or to integrate the data directly into their applications. The trade fair model presented at SPS IPC Drives consists of a two-chamber control cabinet with a partially recessed 'DTI' cooling unit on one side and a 'PWI' series air/water heat exchanger, which is also partially recessed, on the other. There are three heaters in each of the two enclosures, which can be switched on individually from the outside using switches on the door in order to simulate a heat load. How the cooling unit reacts to thermal changes or the opening of the enclosure door is displayed live from the cloud on an external screen.
