The new Proline 300 flowmeters from Endress+Hauser enable digital connection via conventional fieldbuses such as Profibus DP/PA, Foundation Fieldbus, Modbus or HART/WirelessHART as well as Ethernet-based communication via Profinet, Ethernet/IP and WLAN. The multi-parameter sensors such as Promass and Promag generate additional process parameters and device and process diagnostics data in addition to the flow measurement values. The continuous device test integrated into the device enables the flow meters to be continuously checked directly in the pipeline. All tests with heartbeat diagnostics, verification or monitoring are referenced to the unchangeable factory status stored in the device and saved automatically. Up to eight tests can be stored in the device one after the other. With Heartbeat technology, diagnostic data is processed in the device and can be transferred to a mass data memory for data mining or data analysis. According to the manufacturer, the Historom data storage concept secures the data, provides transparency in measurement operation and avoids reparameterization after a component replacement. Installation is simplified by front access, plug-in terminals, a detachable display and a wide-range power supply unit; four device LEDs signal the most important statuses.
