In view of the urgent need for additional ventilators to treat coronavirus patients in France, the French government has turned to industrial companies. The aim is to produce 10,000 devices by mid-May. In this context, Schneider Electric is supporting the task force formed and contributing to the overall organization of the industrial production framework.

Furthermore, components and systems for the reconfiguration of the production lines will be supplied and support will be provided for securing the supply. In addition, Schneider Electric is providing lean manufacturing experts to optimize the production lines and increase the production of respirators by up to 70 times. 100 Schneider Electric employees have volunteered as qualified plant operators. They will work around the clock at the Air-Liquide plant in Antony (France) for the next six weeks.
