Efco offers the Smartmod embedded box PC. The seventh-generation Intel Core ULV processors are the ideal low-power CPUs with a thermal design power (TDP) of 15 W, according to the manufacturer. They are said to be suitable for many applications with high processing power requirements, such as industrial control systems, monitoring systems, machine vision systems, automatic optical inspection systems and test and measurement equipment. The devices offer six Gigabit Ethernet ports (four with PoE option), four USB interfaces (4 x USB 3.0 and 1 x USB 2.0), one HDMI or VGA port, one DisplayPort connection, 16bit isolated GPIOs, four RS-232/422/485 interfaces, two RS-232 interfaces, two mini PCIe connections with SIM socket (PCIe+USB+USIM) and one mini PCIe connector (PCIe+USB). The devices also offer an input voltage range of +9 V to +32 V . Thanks to the PoE option (Power over Ethernet), the computer is also designed to take over the power supply for connected IP cameras.
