With the PCAN-miniPCIe FD, Peak-System is releasing a plug-in card in PCI Express mini format for connection to one or two CAN FD buses. Based on a mounted expansion card, a four-channel version is also available. The card achieves transmission rates of up to 12 Mbit/s for the maximum 64 data bytes of a CAN FD frame. The plug-in card can be flexibly connected to CAN and CAN FD buses via D-Sub connectors using the enclosed connection cables. Each CAN channel is galvanically decoupled at 300 volts and can be optionally terminated. With its extended operating temperature range of -40 to 85 °C, its high durability and space-saving design, the card is particularly suitable for use in embedded systems such as industrial computers or in motor vehicles, rail vehicles and aircraft, according to the manufacturer. The plug-in card can also be used in medical devices, data loggers and test benches. The scope of delivery includes software for displaying CAN traffic, APIs for developing your own applications with a CAN connection and device drivers for Windows and Linux.
