With bioprinters or organic printers, scientists and researchers can now even print skin and tissue cells in 3D. In cooperation with the bioprinter manufacturer Cellbricks, the founding team around Bloodline has developed a CAD system specifically for the special features of a bio-3D printer. This allows the user to create a design that serves the bioprinter as a template for the physical model. The system takes into account the special requirements of the printed object and automatically calculates the blood vessels in the tissue or organ, for example. The system can be used to print small organs and tissue that can be used for drug tests, for example. As a cloud-based application, the CAD system also opens up great potential for pharmacy and medicine.
