Georg Schlegel has extended the 'Mynitron' actuator series to provide users with more options when equipping compact operating stations: In addition to the familiar emergency stop button with a 16.2 mm installation diameter, the series now includes a pushbutton and an actively illuminated emergency stop button, each with a 16.2 mm installation diameter and the same appearance. The series is particularly suitable for equipping mobile hand-held terminals, plug-in programming panels, small medical devices or fitness equipment. The pushbuttons are available with metal or black plastic front rings and with an opaque or transparent cover that can be labeled from the front. Fully illuminated versions are also available. The actively illuminated emergency stop button certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13850 increases safety when working with mobile operating stations. If the control panel is connected to the overall system, the active status of the emergency stop button is signaled by the red illuminated mushroom button. If there is no connection, the mushroom button is unlit and therefore gray or transparent, indicating that the emergency stop button is inactive. The aim is to avoid confusion after the operating station has been taken out of service, to prevent an inactive button from being pressed and thus to ensure work safety. The pushbutton with short-stroke tactility and all emergency stop buttons in the series are designed for IP65 and IP67 as well as a rated operating voltage of 35 V.
