The new Minas A6 series from Panasonic is the successor to the Minas A5. According to the manufacturer, the single-pole technology and new housing design have not only reduced the length by 30 %, but also the weight of the motor by up to 10 %. The 20-bit (1048576 P/U = pulses per revolution) encoder of the previous series has been upgraded to 23-bit (8388608 P/U). This has increased the resolution of the new series by a factor of 8. In addition, the new servomotors have a faster frequency response (3.2 kHz). Improved current control response and linearity should also result in a reduction in micro-vibrations. According to the manufacturer, other features include lower torque ripple and improved load fluctuation suppression. The connection cables and plugs from the A5 series can also be used for the A6. The peripherals do not need to be changed or adapted when converting or replacing them in the machine. They also have the same flange. The Panaterm parameterization software can be used for both series.
