With the color versions of the BOA Spot vision sensors from Teledyne Dalsa, functions such as teaching, matching and verifying colors expand the range of integrated inspection tools. The vision sensors are equipped with a CMOS sensor with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. They are available with an M12 lens with a choice of 6, 8, 12 or 16 mm and a white LED ring light or with a C-mount lens adapter. The vision sensors offer a range of robust image processing tools for counting and measuring, for localizing parts and for feature and defect detection. The "Boa Spot Color SL" includes a basic set of inspection tools, while the "EL" model offers additional tools and an extended range of functions for more complex tasks. Depending on the requirements of the inspection task, the image processing tools can be combined or used multiple times. Both models can store up to 32 measurement sequences so that several object properties can be inspected simultaneously. The IP67 housing is splash-proof and can withstand harsh industrial conditions. Standard communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP and Profinet are directly supported. Test images can be transferred to a network drive via FTP.
