Janitza offers an innovation with a Profibus version of the UMG 96RM multifunction measuring device for energy measurement technology. The device not only records electrical energy consumption and standard variables with high accuracy, but also power quality variables such as harmonics up to the 40th harmonic. It also offers integrated residual current measurement (RCM), which can be used to detect incipient insulation faults at an early stage. This is intended to increase system availability and reduce the risk of fire. The portfolio includes variants for energy measurement technology requirements, including a model with an M-Bus interface. The latest member of the product family, the UMG 96RM-PN, is Profinet-certified and suitable for use with Profienergy. The device also has a 2-port Ethernet switch. The IP configuration can be carried out statically or via Profinet DCP.
