Bi-Ber offers 2D and 3D vision systems for the automatic optical inspection of chocolate molds. The hygienically designed systems with touch operation enable monitoring widths of up to 1050 mm. Mold breakage, foreign bodies and residual contamination from a size of 1 mm² are detected. Operators can teach in any number of mold patterns and easily switch between them. The machine vision systems are available in various designs and sizes. On request, the supplier can make individual adaptations to the end user's inspection requirements and spatial conditions. Bi-Ber uses two GigE cameras as standard in the 2D image processing systems, which enables short working distances when monitoring wide conveyors. The 2D systems detect NOK shapes solely through color image processing based on color or brightness deviations from the clean shape. An alternative measuring method is an adaptive 3D scanning system that detects contamination and foreign objects. The 3D system is based on a laser triangulation sensor. It has been specially equipped with mirrors for mold inspection so that chocolate molds can be scanned completely and with very low image noise.
