Adlink announces the availability of cPCI-A3515, a processor blade of a new family in the CompactPCI Serial standard. This new 3U module is based on an Intel Core processor. It supports the CompactPCI serial standard for applications that require reliable high-speed, high-bandwidth data communication. To test the new serial interfaces on their systems, customers will receive a starter kit consisting of a CPU board, I/O cards, a fanless chassis, a backplane and a power supply. The 'Serial Standard' extends the former parallel PCI with Serial PCI Express, SATA, Ethernet and USB and supports transfer rates of up to 600 Gb/s. The processor blade offers data throughput options via the following PCIe interfaces: one PCIe x8, two PCIe x4, and three PCIe x1. Four 6 Gb/s SATA interfaces and a maximum of 10 USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports complete the selection. The rear connections include up to eight 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet connections for compatible backplanes, which can be either hybrid versions or CPCI 2.0/S.0-compatible standard versions. The front panel includes two display ports, two USB 3.0 ports and two Gigabit Ethernet ports as well as two optional USB 2.0 ports, an RS232/422/485 interface and a VGA port.
