New version of the DataFeed Security Integration Server from Softing
© Softing Industrial Automation

Version 1.10 of Softing's dataFeed Secure Integration Server supports users with extensive filter options for individual OPC UA data points. The tool is used at the interface between IT and automation networks and uses the OPC UA interoperability standard for secure data exchange. A key feature is the combination of data from multiple sources in one server. To this end, the data is aggregated from the entire OPC UA namespace for simple data exchange. Access rights control access to individual data. Different applications can each work with their own certificates or access rights. Version 1.10 offers extended configuration options for this definition. Data access can now be restricted for individual OPC UA client applications not only at the level of the respective shared address space, but also at the level of individual data points by specifying the access type. To do this, the desired OPC UA service, such as read, write, browse or subscribe, is selected in the access configuration. As 'dataFeed Secure Integration Server' uses the REST interface for configuration, even extensive OPC UA address spaces can be easily managed and restricted and made secure by using suitable filters. To increase application security, the option of certificate-based user authentication is also available for defining OPC UA connections.
