Panasonic is expanding its operating device portfolio with the HMX700 series - a high-end series with multi-touch functions that work like a smartphone: Touch gestures such as swiping, zooming in, zooming out or scrolling can be implemented. The function keys on the touchscreen display can be customized using the 'HMWin' software. Users of the control panel can, for example, play stored videos, read PDFs or adjust the content to the correct size using the zoom function. In addition, the operating device allows fast writing at 50 MByte/s and can also be operated with protective gloves. The capacitive glass touch display is easy to read even under difficult environmental conditions, UV-resistant, scratch-proof and resistant to various chemicals. With regard to temperature changes, the devices are flexible in the range from -20 to +60 °C. The touch terminals offer a power supply between 10 and 32 V(DC).
