Current productsNews from industrial image processing
Cameras, vision sensors, lighting and complete image processing systems - the range of products on offer in industrial image processing is diverse. Computer&AUTOMATION presents the latest products from spring 2019 in a series of images.

Matrix Vision offers sensor access for the USB3 Vision and GigE Vision camera families. The first addition is the 31-mpixel 'IMX342' sensor from Sony's 'Pregius' family. In conjunction with the provider's 'mvSmartFrameRecall' smart feature, these can use high resolutions of 6480 x 4856 pixels with bandwidths of Gigabit Ethernet and Dual Gigabit Ethernet efficiently and at high speed. 'mvSmartFrameRecall' generates small preview images with reduced resolution (thumbnails), which are transferred to the host PC with IDs. At the same time, the corresponding image is stored in full resolution in the camera's image memory. If the full-resolution image is required, the application sends a request and the image is transferred in the same data stream as the preview images. The 'IMX342' sensor is available as a prototype for test purposes in the mvBlueCougar-XD1031. The sensor will be available in series production from Q2/2019. Polarizing filters are ideal for applications where reflective and dazzling surfaces such as glass, plastic or metal are the focus. With the 'IMX250', Sony has introduced a 'Pregius' sensor with an on-chip polarizing filter that works in all four directions. It is therefore no longer necessary to rotate an additional polarizing filter, which enables higher frame rates in the application. For GigE vision applications, the sensor will be available as 'mvBlueCougar-X105p', for USB3 vision applications as 'mvBlueFox3-2051p'.
