Matrix Vision has equipped the mvBlueCougar-X104bUV Gigabit Ethernet camera with a special CMOSIS-CMV4000 sensor version for special image processing applications in the short-wave UV range, such as in laser technology, semiconductor inspection and food testing. The microlenses have been removed from this sensor and a sensor cover glass made of UV-permeable quartz has been used. On request, this camera - like all others from the manufacturer - is available as a customized version, for example with alternative I/O assignment. It offers smart features such as flat-field correction, color correction and white balance, which can be executed directly on the device and thus relieve the host system. The 64 MByte image memory ensures loss-free image transmission and also serves as a buffer - for example in recording mode, which saves images in the camera and outputs them flexibly. The mvBlueCougar-X104bUV is compatible with the GenICam and GigE Vision standards and drivers are available for Windows and Linux. It also supports third-party image processing libraries that are compatible with GigE Vision.
