Smartek Vision is expanding its GigE Vision camera series 'Giganetix Plus' with the GCP2061 and GCP2461 models. They are particularly suitable for capturing fast-moving objects and for low-light and outdoor applications. They are equipped with the 'Pregius Exmor' image sensors 'IMX250' and 'IMX252' from Sony. The cameras have a dynamic range of over 70 dB and a resolution of 3.2 and 5.1 MP respectively with a pixel size of 3.45 µm. Despite the reduction in pixel size in favor of the optical format, which thus remains compatible with the C-mount, a similar performance to the 'IMX174' is achieved. In addition, the frame rates in 8, 10 and 12 bit, a maximum of 64 definable regions of interest and two synchronization inputs and outputs each enable efficient image capture and application control. Additional features of the device series are the fully GigE Vision-compliant hardware and driver interface, the comprehensive Windows and Linux-compatible 'Giganetix GigE VisionSDK' and the use of industrial connection standards.
