MaxxVision is expanding its camera portfolio with two GigE Vision cameras from Sony with 2.4 and 5 megapixels, equipped with the Sony Pregius global shutter CMOS sensors 'IMX249' and 'IMX264' from the XCG-CG series. Both cameras are GigE Vision 2.0 compliant and IEEE1588 compatible. The IEEE1588 standard enables the synchronization of devices such as camera and lighting connected via the network with an accuracy of up to ±1.5 µs. The XCG-CG240/C camera is suitable for applications from VGA to 2.4 MP and, in addition to CMOS technology, offers new possibilities in terms of frame rate and resolution: for example 100 fps at VGA, 48 fps at SXGA (1360 × 1024) and 41 fps at UXGA (1600 × 1200). The 5.1 MP XCG-CG510/C camera is suitable for applications that require more accuracy at high frame rates, achieving 27 fps at full resolution and, for example, 90 fps at 2448 × 500 pixels. Both models are available in monochrome and color versions with 8-, 10- or 12-bit pixel formats. With the 'Area Gain' function, a maximum of 16 image areas can be set separately. The trigger counter can be used to count up the trigger signals received. The cameras have various trigger modes such as bulk and sequential trigger.
